Ordering crown is as easy as:
1. Choosing Pattern.
2. Finding radius or providing height and width
measurements.
3. Establishing if radius is inside (concave-ISR) or
outside (convex-OSR).
4. Establishing which way crown is to be installed (see
diagram).
Valuflex™ flexible moldings are sold in
straight and preformed pieces. Straight pieces are used
for standard base, chair rail and jamb applications.
Casings, crowns and build-up applications require
preformed pieces. Preformed pieces are achieved by
providing precise measurements, radius or a template.
Preformed pieces only have a variance of approx. 1” to
2” hence the importance of precise information. Curved
crown applications, by far the most diverse, require a
few simple rules of thumb (see easy ordering) to easily
accomplish a perfect fit without stressing the material.
A Build-up is several pieces of moldings put together to
make a more dramatic application.
The maximum length of flexible product
is 12’. The minimum length is 6’. All resin is sold by
the whole foot only.
The smallest radius a part can be made
is the width of the profile times 3. (ex. a 4-1/2” wide
crown’s smallest radius is 13-1/2” - (4-1/2” width x 3)

Directions of how to get a radius of a
Dome Wall:
Take a straight board and walk towards wall until both
ends touch the wall. Measure center distance from board
to wall. By simply supplying us the 2 measurements, we
can determine the radius of the wall:
1) length of board used
2) center rise (from board to wall) measurement |
